Academic Support and Monitoring Program
We offer an additional program aimed at improving success rates for Pacific Islands students studying in Australia.
What is the program?
The program includes:
- contact on arrival to ensure accommodation and enrolment are organised
- confirmation of successful registration for all classes
- staying in touch on a weekly basis to ensure progress is being made
- in-person meeting each semester to check on well-being
- assistance to gain support during times of academic difficulty
- updating a report, weekly, with progress, assignment results, well-being information. The report is shared with parents who can log in at any time to view updates
- implementing intervention strategies to get students back on track
Why?
Life as an international student is one of the biggest challenges a young adult will face. The Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia reports that 30% of university students may fail one or more subjects in their first year of study. Key issues include:

How to enrol in our program?
Once your Student visa application has been lodged you will be invited to a pre-departure briefing session with us. During this session we will provide more information on the program and how it works. The cost to participate in the program is PGK2,500 per semester.
