• The GS requirement replaces the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criterion for Student visas from March 23, 2024.

New Assessment Criteria

• Applicants must provide detailed information on their current circumstances, course choice rationale, benefits of studying in Australia, study history (if any), and other relevant details
• The GS requirement emphasises understanding visa conditions, limited post-study migration pathways, and the need for lawful stay in Australia
